I’m a first time candle maker. I purchased a small portion from a local craft store. But then went ahead and bought this. Fantastic kit! Used it at a women’s club to make candles. Bought fragrances separately. Such a bargain! Will absolutely do this again!

Great wax. Must research how to use it
The wax seems great. Good price for 10 pounds of wax, stickers and wicks.So I asked questions here about how to work with this candle wax and read product reviews. looked for an Etienne Alair candle making website (there isn’t one). So it’s us and Google … here’s what I have to contribute:Evidently soy wax can hold maximum 6% to 10% fragrance load but this wax doesn’t say its maximum. I tried with 6% and 8% load so far. (That means 6 or 8 % of the total weight is fragrance weight)There are calculators online to tell you how many ounces or grams of wax make a candle of any given volume… seriously this is like chemistry class all over again!!The wax melts at 170 degrees and the internet says you add the fragrance oil at 185 degrees (stirring gently in back-and-forth motions, not in circles so you don’t create bubbles). Use some kind of thermometer. You’ll be shocked to see how fast the temperature of wax rises. If you add the fragrance at too high a temperature the Internet says it will have trouble binding to the wax…I used 2 wicks per candle because my goals is to get them to smell (throw) as much as possible. The wick stickers held tightly to the bottom of the jar. The wicks burn nicely. The wick centering tool worked great. Once the wicks settled a bit my sister anchored them with pieces of tape because we were making so many candles and the kit only has two metal wick centering devicesI waited 48 hours and burned my candles. They are burning nice and evenly. Not smoking, not tunneling. Throwing scent reasonably well given how small the candles are.Great introductory kit that allowed us to – within an hour of Internet research – not completely screw up our first batch of candles 😁😁. Really good quality wax. Beginner friendly for sure! My aunt used to make candles when she was still with us but this was my first go at it. Be mindful though when ordering scents, the scents I went with were not great. Was very fun, the supplies it came with were good as well. Easily cleaned up off my counter afterwords.

WAX IS NOT ALL THE SAME
I can’t even tell you how many times I have bought from this vendor. The items come quick and I make candles and have used many different kinds of wax to make them. Many melt weird, have bubbles and so one but this wax is amazing and melts like butter to make the perfect candles every time and that is why I come back over and over again to buy from them. Strongly recommend that you purchase from the best.

I have ordered this brand of soy wax 3 or 4 times.Pros:To me it seems very good quality of wax compared to the other brands of soy wax I have bought in the past.Holding the fragrance/ scent. This wax holds so much better then the other waxes I have used in the past.After I let it sit for 2 weeks as I do with all waxes I have used in the past.It fills the room with the scent you use in the wax. Very pleased with the quality of this wax.Priced is lower then most others soy wax sold on amazon . I have searched several other brands and bought others brands. This one gas been the best I have used so far.Cons:Absolutely non for me.

Good candle wax but very brittle. Good for jar candles but not the best for mold candles that are intricate as they will break easy
