Great value for what you get
Works great, was easy to assemble and program, great for temperature control

Don’t expect to use the cases
The boards seem to work fine but the cases seem to have a problem. I bought a 3 pack. The first one I assembled I tightened down the bolts on the case firmly. Within a few minutes the bottom of the case had cracked in several places. So, when I assembled the other two I was really careful to not over tighten any of the 8 bolts on each case. I used a small screw driver and only held the tiny nuts with my fingers and then only just snugged up the screws. They looked fine but after they sat for an hour or so they both developed cracks in the bottom. As more time has passed they have continued to crack more until they have become useless. I do find it interesting that only the bottoms crack, not the tops. It could be that there should be a flat washer between the nut and the bottom of the case.

Update
No output power No instructions. How about a Fahrenheit settingUPDATEI didn’t realize the output terminals were dry. Needed to put a jumper to send power over to one side of the switched terminals. Works fine. Should have instructions and a Fahrenheit setting though

Easy install
So far so good. I will admit I was a little confused working this. But I figured it out. The relay just connects the load terminals so I wired the feed and load positive to the positive terminal, the load negative to one of the relay terminals and jumpered the other relay terminal to the negative feed. All works as it should. This thing is powering a fan in my camper electrical cabinet, the temp sensor works well and is extremely responsive. All the soldering looks to be good quality. Hopefully it lasts a long time. As others mentioned the case kinda sucks but it does it’s job.

Unit was defective out of the box. Poor quality control.
The single unit I received had one of the setting buttons missing (or was apparently never installed). This rendered it useless. However, because it was so inexpensive I didn’t bother trying to return it and simply ordered two more units from a different vendor with higher average customer reviews. I’m assuming that most of these type units are mass produced to a very low price point. Unfortunately, poor quality control is the inevitable result. Apparently the W1209 can function well if you receive a good one, so since they are so inexpensive, I’m going to roll the dice again and will hopefully receive one that functions as intended.

Works well
Works great. I’ve got 5 of these monitoring enclosed areas where PDUs, a 3D printer, charging stations, etc. are located. Plugged a few 12v computer fans up to them so heat behind the equipment can be blown out as needed.2 semi-negatives:- is only in Celsius — I don’t mind tho. Set it and forget it- the LED readouts are rather bright — would not be fun in a bedroom or similar. Is no big deal in my office

It works.
I used this thermostat to control a fan to keep my shed from getting too hot. The instructions could be more detailed, but once you figure out how to use the buttons to set the temperature, mode, and hysteresis, it is easy. Some of the 4 little screws that hold the wires were very hard to loosen at first (I almost gave up), but they were fine once I applied enough torque to loosen them. I attached the bottom board to the controller board with the 4 biggest screws (and spacers) provided, but the top board did not have an opening for the LED display, so I didn’t attach it, but that’s OK since it’s not really needed.

Needs documentation
Assembly took nimble fingers, but it went together. That’s when the fun started. It came with no instructions, but I found some on the web. I wanted to control a heating pad to regulate the temperature in a box for sour dough starter. The range I wanted to keep it in was 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit, or 21.1 – 23.8 Celsius. In initially was getting only a range of and upper limit of 23.8c, lower limit of 21.1c, when I was trying to use it like I expected it to do. After a lot of playing around with it and a Pakistani video that explained fairly well, I got it working.
