Typical picks
These are nice to hold and do add volume to your afro or curls. I have 3C/4A hair texture so no afro for me, but it does give my curly leave outs some volume. These survived my travel bag and purse. Not flimsy and easy to use. You really can’t mess up the design.

Great tools for sifting through heavy, wavy hair
Very useful, very good feel in the hands and through the hair. I don’t have an afro, but I do have thick, wavy to curly hair, and this tool gives it just enough boost without brushing all the curl out like a brush would do.
