Perfect belt for trail running or mountain biking!
This belt is great – comfortable and easy to access phone and snacks. The water bottles are the perfect size for about 1 hour of moderate exercise. I’ve used it while running trails and mountain biking. Five stars!

Just get it
As a half marathon runner, I needed a belt with water bottle holders because I was getting sick of carrying the hand-held water bottle. I was hesitant to order this belt based on some reviews, and then when I got it, I tried it on and almost returned it immediately without testing it, but I am so glad I gave it a shot.I have used this for 2 weeks now, and have taken it on runs up to 10 miles, so far. Here’s my feedback:Storage: The water bottles are snug in a good way: they feel very secure even without the cord loop. It fits my phone, a gel, and my keys in the pouch with relative ease. Note: the gel holders were not big enough to hold Gu gels, which was a bit of a bummer but nbd.Positioning/Stability: I almost returned this after trying it on because it seemed like my arms would constantly rub against the water bottle caps when running, but they do not! Note: I turned the water bottles so the caps face inward.I wear the belt slightly lower down (not around my waist, more around my hips) and I have no issue. The belt does a pretty good job of staying in place – it does move a bit – it slides around to the side for me, but it’s an easy fix. The grips help a lot with stability – it does not bounce up and down like my last belt did. This belt had definitely upped my game. I’m glad I got this and you probably will be too.

I thought I would hate it, but I love it
First of all, I don’t like running with anything attached to me. I don’t like carrying a water bottle, phone, and I don’t even listen to music. However, it limited me to how far I could run because I needed water to run farther. Also, my friend told me about the Nike running app, which made me want to keep track of how much I was running. For that I needed a way to carry my phone. After researching my options, I came across this gem. It’s not big, but it holds my bulky Samsung 7 with an Otter Box, chapstick, and money or cards. I got the one with 2 8 oz. water bottles, and I can run for an hour and still have water leftover. Note: after a month, something happened (did I poke the cap when I overfilled it with ice?) and the cap on one bottle kept leaking out of the hole. I ran and it was squirting out of the hole in the top that was larger, all of a sudden. I lost half the water in the bottle and was very disappointed. However, after inspecting it when I got home, I discovered the membrane inside the cap had folded open, and all it took was a touch with a skinny piece of plastic tubing I had to snap it back closed. That was a few weeks ago, and it still works perfectly. I love this thing because it doesn’t bounce and it adjusts well to my body. It only took a few minutes for me to get used to it. I would definitely recommend it, as it’s well made and seems like it’s going to last a long time.

Great Running Belt, but gel loops too small
The Hydra Fitletic 16 is a solid and well-designed pack, with just a single flaw. The belt is stable and even with the weight of the water it doesn’t bounce around or loosen up when worn on the front. I tried wearing it with the pack facing rearward like how I wear my SPIbelt and it wasn’t as steady and felt like it would fall down. The front pocket is pretty large and can easily hold a big phone in a chunky case. It is just large enough to cozily fit my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra with a 6.8″ screen in an Otterbox Defender so it’s big enough to hold just about any phone. If you do have a phone that big though, it may be harder to access midrun because its nearly an exact fit, but that shouldn’t be a problem for more reasonably sized phones. With my phone in there was still room for some cards, a small set of keys, and some gels. The water bottles are well secured and are easy to pull out and put back while running. The bottles don’t leak, but they do squirt a pretty strong stream of water so be sure not to hit the back of your throat the jet of water when squeezing it for a drink lest you end up with water down the wrong pipe.My only criticism of the pack is that the gel loops are way too small for the SIS gels I use. Standard sized gels like GUs might be able to fit if you fold them, but the isotonic gels from SiS or Maurten with their larger packaging definitely won’t fit. This isn’t too big of a deal though as I can keep a couple gels in the zip pocket, but it does reduce the utility and practical capacity of the belt.Overall, I’m pretty happy with the belt and would recommend it to most runners looking for a comfortable way to carry water, your phone, and other small items for longer runs.

iPhone 14 Pro Max w Otterbox case – just fits – no extra room
Fits well. No movement. I barely know it’s there. For a normal size phone there would be plenty pf room for other items.

Almost good, still too much in the way
Bought this for trail running and road running. The good: Made of a nice neoprene, the pocket has multiple inner pockets, lots of storage- fits my BIG phone, and has a nice slot for a credit card/id. belt doesn’t chafe, locks on tight, great bib holders for races. The bad: bottles leak. actually, one leaks. (My husband also bought this belt and has one bottle that leaks). I end up with water all down my side. I can buy another bottle/lid, but still.the elastic that pops over the top of the bottles to secure them- one snapped the second time I used it.Maybe because I am curvier, it will not stay down on my hips, always slides right up to my waist where I don’t want it. This causes my swinging arms to catch the bottles, whether it’s on my front or back. My husband does not have this problem with his, so it may be body differences. All in all, I will keep looking for some unicorn way to carry water, this isn’t for me.
