This pillow makes me sit up straight – very important for watching my posture. I use it in the car, but I am tempted to have one in the house, too. That may make me too comfortable.

Good quality for the price
I was surprised that the quality is as good as it is. The elastic strap fits my big office chair and holds it in place. It takes a bit of getting used to because it is bigger than I thought it would be, so it’s not for light support, but it does help with low back pain and helps prevent me from slumping and slouching and hunching over, which is exactly what I bought it for.

There’s so many lumbar back supports that after awhile we just had to go for it and pick one. This one is “ok”. It does what it should, which is provides support for the lower back when sitting. We purchased this item for someone with severely herniated discs in the lower back and use it along with a Travel Mate Coccyx Orthopedic Gel seat cushion. The two items work well together – one for the chair seat and one for the back. This lumbar support curves IN, whereas other supports have a “bump” that curves out. I think it’s a matter of preference which to use. Both keep the lower back straight and the spine in line, and assist with posture. This provides some relief from pressure on herniated discs. This back support comes with a chair strap, to hold in it place. That is used about half of the time. What this product is missing is a carrying handle! The chair strap doesn’t work well for that b/c it’s stretchy and isn’t a carrying handle. If this product is going to be carried places (ours is – it’s taken everywhere – in the car, to restaurants, used at home, on the plane for travel, etc) then not having a carrying handle will become annoying after awhile.As far as quality, it’s well made and has held up great after weeks of daily use and being carried all over the place. It works well in the car, especially. Overall a good lumbar back support – if it had a carrying handle it would be very good.

I got it fast due to amazon prime 2 day shipping. It was packaged in a amazon box with paper by itself. The back support was shrink wrapped and had all the original manufacturer materials. It has an elastic strap the fits around my desk chairs back and it holds in place as you would expect. There is a slit in the back to remove the foam so you can wash it. There is also a double thick clip board sized piece of wood behind the foam inside the sleeve. Gives it some firmness. Probably to make sure the foam does not dip into whatever shape might be behind it. There by giving you the exact support it is supposed to provide.It is shaped just right and feels comfortable. ie no edges poking me. The side supports comfortably wrap around and make me feel like I have a bucket seat office chair. I am 6’1″ tall and 190lbs. My waist is about 34-36in. The side supports are perfectly designed for me. If your waist is thicker than mine, you might find the side supports pushing on your kidneys.I still have lower back discomfort. That really has nothing to do with the product. I was just hoping to notice a change right away. Time will tell. However, my upper back feels better, because I am not hunching over any more.

Long-time back pain — finally, RELIEF!
I suffer from severe scoliosis and sitting, standing, well, really just about anything for long periods of time is difficult for me. I have metal rods and hardware in my upper curve, but nothing corrective in my lower curve. I also have a job that requires me to sit at a desk for long periods while I work on my computer, and over time, I started to develop awful tension headaches and equally awful lower back fatigue. I was using a pillow I brought from home to help support my lower back but after a while, it eventually lost its shape. I even started to use a lumbar support back brace to try to help ease my pain — it helped a little, but it also made it difficult for me to breathe or eat anything beyond a few bites without feeling like I had removed any room for my stomach to expand.I finally caved and decided to try a lumbar support. I purchased the cheapest one I could find through our office supply company and it was……disappointing to say the least. It was literally a piece of foam with an excessively long and flimsy piece of elastic. I decided to try again but when I went to look at some of the better lumbar supports offered through the same office supply company, they were ridiculously expensive. I hopped on Amazon to see what I could find when I came across the Duro-Med Relax-a-Bac lumbar support. Based upon the positive reviews and price, I decided to give it a go. I’m so glad I did.When I first got the lumbar support, it came with a wooden removable board inserted into the back to help it maintain its shape and firmness. I placed it in my chair with the board still inserted and was immediately regretful that I had made yet again, another bad purchase. It wasn’t until I removed the board that I felt relief. (I’m guessing my office chair works better without the board, but I think the board will be useful should I need to take the support elsewhere.)Today is the first day I have gone all day without wearing my back brace and getting a terrible headache half way through the day! I’m still a little shocked to be honest. I could breathe. I could eat. I actually sat like a normal person without developing gradual nerve pain.I highly recommend this lumbar support because of its price, versatility, and because it actually works. It offers great alignment without throwing you out of your seat or hyper-extending your lower back. This product is definitely a winner.

I am very pleased with this support. Not too expensive and it has improved my back pain as I now use it daily whether sitting in an upright dinning chair or on the sofa. I’ve even used it in a camping chair. I believe it’s also available in different colours but I bought the burgundy as it blends in with the sofa.

Have been using this for six months or so and it isnt showing any signs of wear. The strap is quite big so goes over my highback chair at work. Touch wood no twinging back for the last six months either.
