    Excellent watch for the money
When my Samsung Active 2 died I went looking for an option that wasn’t going to break the bank. I just needed a good basic smart watch that I could track my bike rides with. I wanted to be able to see my performance metrics on my morning workout rides and I wanted to be able to see a map of my trip when I did my longer (40 mile) leisure rides. There were 4 Amazfit watches I considered, the Bip 6, the Fit 2, the Fit 2 Premium Round and the Fit 2 Premium Square. I did a lot of research and watched a lot of review videos. I really liked the amount of information that the Bip 6’s square screen provided. But I was looking for a watch I could wear for sport or dress, and I felt that the Bip 6’s large size wouldn’t really work well as a dress watch. The Fit 2 premium Square was twice the price Bip 6, but it was less than ½ the price of a comparable Samsung or Pixel watch. I’m hoping that the Saphire crystal lives up to the scratch resistance claims so I can at least save a few bucks on screen protectors 😊I assumed that the premium square was brushed steel like the premium round. It wasn’t. It was polished stainless steel. I was a bit disappointed about that, but I can’t fault the watch for that, it was my mistake. But I have to say that with the right watch face chosen it’s still a pretty classy looking watch. The pseudo-leather band looks very dressy, and I was surprised that I even liked the orange sport band that came with it. It’s more of a burnt orange/pumpkin orange, not the bright orange I was expecting. The watch is great at tracking my rides. The battery on my old Samsung Active 2 usually did not last the entire day if I was using it to track a long ride. At the end of my recent day-long ride I still had over 70% battery left. A big plusThe information display is great when riding. All the key info that I’m looking for is on the main ride screen, Distance, speed, time, heart rate. And the screen visibility is excellent, even in bright sunlight. A previous (cheaper) watch that I tried could not be viewed with polarized sunglasses. I had no similar issues with the Amazfit. The watch can be set to announce your progress at regular intervals during your ride/workout. It announces duration, distance and avg spreed. My Samsung also announced heart rate. I do wish the Amafit announced HR too. Hopefully someone from Amazfit checks the reviews occasionally and adds this feature. The Amazfit has about 150 built-in workouts. I was only interested in cycling but if you’re looking for a decent fitness tracker this watch will probably have you covered. My previous Samsung watch did not play well with the default Android messaging app. I needed to install a third-party app to be able to reply to messages from my watch. The Amazfit worked fine with the default google messaging app. It even seems to work with RCS messages which some less expensive wtches don’t.I’d like to see a little more volume when answering call from the watch, but it is workable. Just a bit tough in noisy environments. This watch has a lot of features. I was initially getting frustrated trying to set it up. I received an email after registering the Zepp companion app for the watch. The email had a link to the user manual. That helped a lot. It is very customizable and after a little playing I have a watch that has all the information that I need a swipe or two away.So in summary – It’s a good-looking watch. It appears to be well made. It has all of the functions I could ask for and is an excellent fitness partner. Yes, there are a bunch of cheap “smart” watches out there. I even tried one. They are cheap for a reason. This watch approaches the functionality of the high-end watches without breaking the bank.I would highly recommend.

Packed with Features, Beautifully Designed, and Amazingly Reliable
I’ve been using my Amazfit watch for almost three months now, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed. First off, the display is incredibly bright and easy to read, even in direct midday sunlight. The resolution is so high that I can’t see any individual pixels. It has that “retina” quality feel to it, very crisp and clean, making it a pleasure to glance at throughout the day.I was initially worried about water resistance, especially in the shower, but those concerns quickly disappeared. I shower with it regularly, and there have been zero issues. The watch still looks as good as the day I got it. The band is stylish and the whole thing just looks way more expensive than it actually is.The crystal is impressively hard. Despite daily wear and tear, it still has no scratches. I also really appreciate the heart rate monitor. I typically use it in walking mode, and it gives me accurate, continuous heart rate readings during my walks. The display stays on the entire time during exercise sessions, which is super convenient. I’ve noticed some minor artifacts in the heart rate readings during certain motions like brushing clothes with a stain remover brush or walking with an umbrella (used as a walking stick), but outside of those moments, the readings are spot on.There are many exercise modes, and I use 3 of them regularly for walking, cycling, and free training. Walking and cycling give me detailed data including GPS routes, elevation, speed, and more. The heatmap in the phone app is especially cool. I use the free training mode when doing yard work or any physical activity that doesn’t involve much movement. It still tracks my heart rate, which is exactly what I want.Another feature I really love is the daily heart rate summary. I have it set to take readings every minute, and at the end of the day, I get a clear picture of how much time I spent in different heart rate zones. That level of detail is incredibly useful.Battery life is solid. I usually get at least two days per charge, and that’s with heavy use. I also love the variety of watch faces available. There are plenty of free options, and even the paid ones are very affordable. It’s easy to customize the look however I want.I can read part of my text messages right from the watch, and while I can’t reply, it’s still convenient. I can also take phone calls through the watch, as long as my phone is nearby. If the phone’s too far away, it doesn’t work, but for most day-to-day situations, it’s just fine. Getting all the usual iPhone alerts on my wrist is a nice bonus too. Some downsides I’ve found is that the calorie meter is overly generous during workouts, the O2 readings at night are questionable when comparing it to my oxygen ring (the watch appears to show non existent desaturation events), the oxygen readings must be taken without movement (no readings while exercising), and an inability to send text messages. But honestly, that’s easy to live with considering how much this watch does right. In short, this watch is packed with features, reliable, stylish, and just an excellent value. I’m really happy with my purchase.

This watch is pretty damn good for $179 AUD. I’m getting to know my sleep better, my REMs and deep sleep and HRV. I bought it for the fitness tracking and that has been helpful – it syncs with Strava straight away following my runs with the only drawback with it not passing back heart rate data. Anyone know why? Battery life for me is about 4-5 days, it’s connected to my iPhone 16 Pro 95% of the time and I get my SMS’ and Whatsapp messages notifications via vibration. Really happy with this and this is my first Amazfit purchase.

Punti forti1.

Excellent budget watch for the price. I haven’t look for a spotify app since I paired it with my phone and haven’t seen any problem controlling the music from the watch (you need to swipe right on the watch and play the music from that screen to control the music from your phone). Battery life is so far so good In two days of general usage I haven’t gone below 90% (surprisingly good considering the price of watch). Activities will of course eat a little more battery. For cyclist fan you can important a gpx file directly on the watch (tutorials are available on the web). You can important a map directly on the screen of the watch for free and see the area where you walk, run or cycle. Speaking through the watch works fine when receiving a call. Plenty of choice of activities. Bonus point, I like the OS. You can choose your backgroung like in a computer and even get “live background on it”. Metrics from biosensors seems almost accurate eventough not perfect. But you do get a lot of “bang for your buck” considering the price of the watch. Using a silicone bracelet will make it look like a sport watch, using a leather bracelet will be more office usage. Notification are handled correctly (as you can press on the notification to see it or simply ignore it. You can consult your agenda on it, the weather and you get plenty of choice of appliation to install (wherter for location, navigation etc…). The AMOLED is a big plus for those who like smartwatches. The flashlight option makes the screen go white as oppose to a real flashlight. For weight lifters the bug concerning not having the ability to count reps has been fixed by the company recently so it works to save your workout. You can also put your membership cards on it. I haven’t tried the watch at the cashier for payment thought as I don’t like putting the payment options on a watch for security purposes. It’s not perfect but it’s certainly a viable options against higher end smart watch for budget sensitive people.
