Better than expected. I love it.
This is a fantastic welder. It performs much better than expected. It produces great flowing bead for easy welding. The welder also has an attachment for gas. I would 100% by the welder again.

    Very Satisfied
Amazing welder! I had done ALOT of research on ALOT of welders & ended up with this one. Works absolutely amazing for auto body & lighter steel work “1/4″ steel welding”. Same as the little bit higher priced ESAB comparable welder. Was going to get the ESAB but if I can save couple hundred or so & get a Red colored ESAB I’m fine with that.

Great so far love my welder
This will be a first impressions review with a longer-term review to follow. This thing is already such a step up from my previous welder comes with 110 volt 20 amp plug and an adapter plug to fit a typical 15 amp Outlet. It has to be noted to achieve the full potential of this machine it should be on a 20 to 30 amp outlet. It will work off a typical house 15 amp outlet but keep in mind it’s going to work at a reduced power output. First Impressions it eats right through my stick electrodes as this thing has twice the power of my previous stick welder has a nice consistent Arc and I had no problem with eighth inch steel. Then I tested the Mig function I bought flux core wire as I don’t have a gas tank yet. With no Mig experience my first attempt was horrible it welded but it threw so much slag everywhere. I knew something had to be wrong upon further research I realized when using flux core wire you have to reverse the polarity in this case the grounding clamp is positive and the Mig gun is negative gave it a second shot and was amazed at how great my welds looked. Keep in mind at this point I have less than 1 hour experience with Mig. This machine is part of the esab and Victor Welding corporations it seems as though they’re using the same unit through a few different brands. Firepower being the low end side of it at almost half the price of the esab unit I have zero complaints so far. Looking forward to trying a whole new set of welding projects. FYI the Firepower welding hood is also very good and consider a flux core tip if you’re not going to be running gas.

Not compatable with firepower tig 200
Doesn’t work well with firepower tig200 need to depress to set amp level on machine but machine will not display any adjustment. Either runs full amperage or too low amperage. Waste of money

  6. Brandon Crawford

    Great compact welder
Works well for small projects, with innersheld or gas

Be cautious! Poor tech support. ONLY 30 day warranty
Love mig welding aluminum. Worked great the first 10 to 30 hours. Then wasn’t getting shielding gas out of nozzle. Called tech support for Tweco and was impressed there was a human, but the lady went through very basic stuff with me to trouble shoot (swap tanks, make sure nozzle is clean, swap liner). It was NOT my machine, my regular mig gun spit gas like no other. The tech support tried pawning me off to my local (45 min away) service center. Gun was out of warranty which was lame only 30 days. Local service was $125 /hr and couldn’t get to it for 5 days. I repeatedly asked the tech support about taking the gun apart and she said they have no diagram to support me taking the gun apart. So, after 4 calls to tech support, a visit to the local shop to swap argon tanks (I still had 30%ish) I started taking the gun apart. Well there’s a small set screw on the block inside where the electrical wiring meets up and that’s where all my gas was escaping from. So got a small flathead screwdriver and backed it off and voila! GAS! Back in business!!!! Step it up Tweco! Step it up Anna at tech support.I am going to look into a Amazon knock off to have on hand in case of something else failing. Good luck yall.

    Light duty
Light duty but works great. Don’t over do the duty cycle.

  9. LabradorLocks

Works fine, came quick as described. Still have to use the hand knob for gas flow, but no need for the trigger for the lift start tig.
