Does the water bottle has odor? How do I remove the odor/taste before first use?
The new bottle has a slight initial odor, but it typically disappears after thorough cleaning. We recommend boiling the bottle for 5 minutes or soaking with lemon water. The bottle is made of BPA-free and non-toxic platinum silicone.
Will it leak if I tip it sideways or squeeze it accidentally?
The bottle features a patented locking lid and safety clip to prevent leaks. Most users confirm no leaks when closed properly, but squeezing too hard while drinking may cause splashing due to its flexible design.
How small and lightweight does it fold?
The water bottle measures approximately 2.95×10 inches when unfolded, and 4.5×5.12 inches when folded. It weighs 200g/7oz/0.44lb when empty, and 850g/30oz/1.87lb when full.
How to do daily maintenance?
lf the bottle is not needed immediately after cleaning, it’s advisable to let it air dry in a well-ventilated area to prevent bacterial growth.lt’s recommended to clean the bottle daily or frequently soak lemon slices to refresh the bottle.

Not quite invincible, still enjoyed the bottle.
The bottle was great. Here has been the experience. We took it on vacation. Rolling the bottle up was super convenient. The lids are interesting. They will snap shut and allow you to push the button to pop it open. However, we did drop one of the bottles and the easy-close mechanism broke. It’s a plastic tab that would engage with the button. A three foot fall with a 3/4 full bottle caused the tab to break. The plastic lock allowed us to close the bottle again, but it’s not as convenient and we essentially have one more chance. It’s curious that this silicone bottle made for drops did not survive a drop. The silicone part was fine, but the plastic parts in the lid were not.The carry strap was convenient.I’ll still give it five stars for convenience, but don’t expect an invincible bottle. For the extra crush resistance you get, the cap is still very much made of hard plastic that can and will break.

Great Travel Bottle — Convenient and Durable After Two Weeks of Use
I’ve been using this collapsible water bottle for about two weeks now, and I’m really impressed. The silicone feels sturdy but flexible, and it folds down easily to save space in my bag. It’s completely leak proof — I’ve carried it sideways and even upside down without any spills. The built-in straw makes it convenient to drink while walking or driving, and the strap is handy for hiking or hanging on my backpack. Cleaning it is simple, and there’s no weird plastic taste. Overall, a great bottle for everyday use or travel.

Saves money on buying bottled water constantly; cruises
Took this on a cruise last summer. I like that it’s collapsible. I was able to refill as needed on the cruise ship. Next time I’d rather use stainless steel as opposed to plastic. I find that it didnt retain ice for a long period of time. However, for the value of the money you get what you pay for.

I’ve been using the Water Bottle and it’s honestly super handy. The silicone material feels durable yet soft, and it folds down small enough to fit easily in my bag. It’s completely leak-proof, which is a huge plus, and the straw and strap make it perfect for hikes or the gym. Cleaning is simple, and I love that it’s BPA-free. Overall, a great travel companion lightweight, practical, and eco-friendly.

Finally got rid of the acrid chemical taste
This water bottle has some positive features. It’s easy to drink from, and it doesn’t leak. However, after a few hours in the bottle, water acquires a chemical, acrid taste. I washed it thoroughly before using it. I thought at first it was the chlorination of the water, but I put filtered water into the bottle, and it tasted the same. Cannot recommend.Edited 6/17/25. I tried soaking the bottle in boiling water, and that didn’t help. I was ready to throw it away, but I spoke with an associate at an REI store who asked if I had tried soaking the bottle in white vinegar. I said I’d try anything, because I really liked the bottle’s design and collapsibility. So I soaked the bottle overnight in a 5% acetic acid solution, emptied it out, and washed it out with warm soapy water and bottle brushes on the interior and the drinking straw. After rinsing it and drying it, I filled it up with filtered water and let it sit for a few hours to see if I got the same chemical taste. Incredibly, even after six hours, the water still tasted clean and fresh! So I’m raising my rating to three stars. It would be higher for the value the bottle is now providing, but I have to downgrade it based on how difficult it was to get rid of that chemical taste. If you are willing to go through all the steps I did, you too may have an excellent water bottle at the end.

Good for travel
It’s a really good product as long as you make sure to wash it from time to time. I advise only to put water or cold water inside. It’s really durable and folds up nicely in a suitcase.

Good travel water bottle
Pros- I liked how the top pops open for the straw. I also felt like it had a stable bottom and wouldn’t fall over. Did not leak. Was light weight compared to a metal waterbottleCons- doesn’t really get as compact as I was hoping for fold up. Has a rubbery smell even after washing. Doesn’t really keep water and ice cold.

Convenient and Portable, Slight Plastic Taste InitiallyI recently purchased the TakeToday Collapsible Water Bottle and have been using it during my daily activities. The collapsible design is incredibly convenient, allowing me to save space in my bag when it’s not in use. The built-in straw makes sipping easy, and the included carabiner is handy for attaching the bottle to my backpack during hikes.Initially, I noticed a slight plastic taste, but after a few washes, it diminished significantly. Now, I can enjoy my beverages without any off-putting flavors. Overall, this bottle is a practical choice for those seeking portability and ease of use in their hydration solutions.

I’m not a big fan of straws, but figured you could use without, but you can’t. Oddly it’s not sealed around the mouth so if you tip it up, you’ll get a lot of water on you! Also as many have noted it’s not leak proof, sealing that gap probably would help with that a bit! Otherwise, I like that it’s lightweight, collapsible and looks nice. The clip to roll it up seems better quality than another I tried.
