Significant Changes to Product and Label
UPDATE:Smarty Pants Customer Service responded very promptly to my email and confirmed that the IU conversion for Vitamin D is in error, it should be 2000 IU (for the new formula) and they will correct the label. The email also stated ingredients are manufactured to GMP / FDA requirements, that products are compliant with CA Prop 65, and 3rd party tested. But there was no mention of certification to those things. Star rating increased to 4 but not to 5 due to lack of independent certification and a seemingly messy formula & manufacturing transition.ORIGINAL:First, yay for less sugar and still no artificial sweeteners, for less sodium, and for reduced number of gummies per serving size. Those things are all good.So what else is different? Fish oil is gone, and in its place for Omega-3 fatty acids is algal oil, and the ratio of dha to epa is now stated. Reduced are Zeaxanthin and Coenzyme Q10. Gone are Lutemax 2020 and Vitamin K2. Whether you like any of these changes is probably a personal preference.Other label differences are that USP is no longer specified on any of the ingredient lines, there’s no longer a mention of NSF certification of contents, and manufacturing location is now just “USA” instead of “California.” Its unclear what inferences if any can be drawn from these changes.Also unclear is the change to Vitamin D. The old formula label states 30 mcg (1200 IU). The new formula label says 50 mcg (1200 IU). That’s a problem unless the conversion factor from mcg to IU has changed.I’ve contacted Smarty Pants Customer Service to request clarity about the Vitamin D amount. It appears to be an egregious error so one star only unless/until there’s a response.

A gummy with Methylfolate instead of folic acid for people with MTHFR
I don’t like taking pills and I also have MTHFR so I cannot take any vitamins with folic acid. I chose these gummy vitamins because they have Methylfolate instead of folic acid. You have to eat four gummies to get the full daily dosage but they taste good so it’s not a problem.

Very tasty with different fruit flavours, while giving me the necessary supplements. Like it very much as the gummy dissolves easily which does not irritate my guts as compared to others that comes in solid tablets.
