    creating little rituals
i really enjoyed reading this book, it felt very calming and also full of useful info. it is not just a list of herbal remedies but also goes into how different cultures and women around the world deal with their menstrual pain and other health stuff in natural ways. i liked the personal stories and the way the recipes are explained in a simple way so you can actually try them at home. some of the ingredients are easy to find, others not so much, but it still gives ideas you can work with. i also liked how it talks about listening to your body and creating little rituals to feel more connected. it made me think different about my own cycle and how i take care of myself. some parts was a bit repetitive but not in a bad way, more like gentle reminders. overall it was a really lovely read and i think people who are tired of synthetic stuff and want to try more natural options would get alot out of this. would recomend it to friends for sure.

    Good guide for natural solutions
If you want to solve period pain with natural remedies, this is a good book. I like the idea of using castor oil with a hot pack. Good book to scan through and see how to do things without big pharma

Great Source for Natural Wellness Practices
This book advertises itself as a catalogue of herbal remedies for menstrual discomfort; however, it is much more than that. This work is a tome of ancient wisdom and a celebration of womanhood and culture. When I made this purchase, I was expecting a simple book of teas that may or may not solve the discomfort I (and many others) deal with every month, but I discovered such variety in the remedies offered: acupuncture; homemade, infused topical oils; massages; yoga and more. As someone who’s struggled for years, I’d like to think I’ve tried every natural solution under the sun to make that time of month more bearable, but this author has shown me there is hope yet.The author also explains the significance of energetic alignment and harmony within the body and their impact on the menstrual cycle. I find this to be an area of ancient wisdom that is not explored often enough in modern times, and I appreciate this author for highlighting the relevance of traditional, natural wellness practices. This was a great read, and I cannot wait to try some of these remedies out myself.

    WOW, what a great read.
This book provides an in-depth exploration of women’s natural healing practices, focusing specifically on menstrual cycles. It highlights the diverse cultural approaches to menstruation around the world—some cultures celebrate it as a significant transition from childhood to womanhood, while others view it with stigma, treating it as unclean. In every culture, though, there are traditional remedies made from herbs, berries, and flowers that are used to alleviate muscle pain, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and provide overall support during this time. What makes this book truly remarkable is the extensive research and documentation that went into it. The author presents an impressive amount of information on the various natural remedies used globally, showcasing the universal wisdom surrounding menstrual health. The book doesn’t just offer remedies; it also provides cultural insights, making it an enlightening and informative read. It’s a valuable resource for anyone interested in women’s health, traditional medicine, or global cultural practices. The wealth of information, backed by detailed research, makes this book not only educational but a significant reference for readers across the world.

Very valuable resource on ancient herbal wisdom
The main theme of this book is women in natural healing medicine, especially as it pertains to menstrual cycles. In countries across the world the menstrual cycle is treated as a different time than the rest of the month. Some countries celebrate this time as changing from a child to a woman. Other countries hide or treat this time as dirty or unclean. In all countries, there are special herbs and remedies from a variety of herbs, berries, or flowers that soothe muscles and aches, remove stress, create relaxation, and, in general, support a woman during her menstrual cycle. This book is extremely well-researched and well-documented. It is a resource for all countries across the globe.

    Beautifully illustrated, interesting cultural information
This book is beautifully illustrated and laid out, with fascinating information on different cultural perspectives on menstruation. How to prepare and use betel leaf compresses was included, as are illustrations of the plants and herbs mentioned. The book is not formatted to read on an e-reader, so I recommend picking up the print edition.

A Natural approach to managing your menstrual discomfort
The book is well-organized, making it easy for readers to navigate through various herbs, their properties, and applications. Chapters are often dedicated to specific symptoms or concerns, which is helpful for those looking to address particular aspects of menstrual pain. Each herb is accompanied by details on its origins, traditional uses, and how to safely incorporate it into a routine. This book is well-suited for those interested in alternative medicine, natural remedies, or holistic health. It’s a valuable resource for individuals looking for gentle, plant-based solutions to common menstrual issues.

I found this book very interesting. It gives a very good perspective on the history, traditions and cultures surrounding this subject. Looking at regions such as; Africa, Asia, America, Europe and the South Pacific. Shows how women, as healers and farmers have passed down their wisdom and knowledge. The herbal remedies are beautifully created and easy to follow.I found this book to be very well researched and offers an invaluable insight for anyone interested in herbal medicine or the history of women in general

This is a very beautiful book. The design and artwork is really inspiring. It covers herbal medicines throughout most regions and continents. It is very inspiring, specially if you want to connect to your heritage.I would say this is a perfect book for a young girl that just got her period or a teenager as it is common to have a lot of pain around that age.But if like me you have endometriosis and lived with it for decades, most likely you have explored way more than what the book offers.I was expecting more about ancestral knowledge, but not quite so. The book just covers home remedies throughout the whole world, so if you are looking into ancestral karma or other issues and how it may impact your periods, this is not the book. That said you can use it to connect more with your heritage and where your family was originally from, or use it to find local remedies eve. If not from your heritage.I would still recommend it, specially as a sweet gift.

As someone who’s battled severe cramps, this book has been a godsend. It offers a perfect blend of ancestral wisdom and practical solutions that actually work.I’ve incorporated several of the plant-based remedies into my routine with amazing results. I love the book’s holistic approach – it’s not just about symptom relief, but connecting with age-old women’s traditions from around the world. The easy-to-follow recipes and tips have become an essential part of my monthly self-care. This book has deepened my understanding of my body and significantly improved my quality of life. For anyone seeking natural menstrual relief, this empowering guide is an absolute must-read.
