A cozy vanilla that layers beautifully without overwhelming
I’ve been wearing Phlur Vanilla Skin Eau de Parfum regularly, and it has quickly become one of my favorite “comfort scents.” On my skin it’s a creamy vanilla with a soft touch of spice and woodiness — warm, cozy, and never cloying.I use it as part of a routine: layering the parfum with Heavy Cream body mist, Vanilla Skin body mist, and the Vanilla Skin deodorant. Most days I also pair it with Beekman 1802 Vanilla Absolute soap and lotion as my base. Even with all that layering, the fragrance stays soft and intimate. It doesn’t project loudly, which I appreciate — I like to smell it on myself without worrying it’s overwhelming others.Longevity is solid, especially with the layering. The Heavy Cream base lingers and blends well with the Vanilla Skin notes, and I can still catch whiffs as my body warms up throughout the day. I usually refresh with a light spritz on my wrists in the afternoon, more because I enjoy the ritual than because the scent disappears.I’ve received a few compliments, but it’s more of a “come closer” fragrance than one that fills a room. If you want a bold, sugary vanilla, this might not be it. But if you like a subtle, skin-hugging vanilla that feels personal and warm, it’s perfect.Bottom line: Vanilla Skin EDP is versatile, soft, and comforting. It layers beautifully with other products, lasts well, and offers a cozy vanilla aura that feels elegant and wearable every day.

    A favorite
My favorite! It’s a little on the pricy side, but the scent does last plenty long enough and it smells amazing!

    Love love love!
I cannot get enough of this scent! I wanted to try it before I committed to the full size and I am obsessed! It’s long lasting, feminine, and sweet!

    For Patchouli lovers…
I now realize that it is patchouli that I have grown to become really sensitive to. It is really heavy with patchouli that lingers, to me, but it may be my own feelings about it. I feel it is heavily overused in a lot of fragrances because it is cheap. I wish this was more fruity and floral, but I still don’t dislike it. Overall, it’s a nice fragrance, but I have to smell from a distance. The fruit and floral notes are very delicious… the patchouli is just overwhelming to me. It sprays well with a generous amount and I love the magnet closure on the lid. The bottle is beautiful and feels solid in my hand. I am impressed with the packaging and bottle, overall. Perfect for those who love patchouli. I am going to try other fragrances by this brand, as I have seen some great reviews online and here.

I Fell for the Ads on Social Media
… and I’ve learned my lesson! I kept seeing the ads on Facebook and Instagram about Phlur fragrances and Body Mists. I know better! I created SEO content for major brands for a decade and am one of the jerks who used all those fancy key words and inserted them into ads just like the ones Phlur uses to suck gullible consumers like myself, into buying something. Even worse, I’m a fragrance snob who usually sticks to what I know works with my body chemistry. But nope, I ignored my own gut telling me this was NOT going to be a fun and fruity scent. Initially I ordered the Mango and another fruit scent via Phlur’s site after caving in to the ads. Then I read through more of the comments and kicked myself. A LOT of people said to order off Amazon if ordering Phlur scents because when ordered straight off the brand site, orders were never received or were coming from Scandinavia and Europe in general. I ordered this scent, Strawberry Letter, via Amazon as so many suggested doing. Received it in two days (still haven’t received order directly from Phlur).Upon smelling the perfume in the bottle itself, it was a bit acrid smelling (reminded me of the sharp, unpleasant smell that Glossier’s “You” has) and then a super sharp cheap strawberry wine scent hit me. Yuck.TLDR … I guess my body chemistry laughed and said, “So you decided to FA & you FO …” It smells like Baccarat Rouge 540 which I loathe! It smells like cheap men’s cologne and curry on me. This Phlur Strawberry Letter stuff smells like the Baccarat fragrance but with sour-milk-swamp-booty notes that dry down to stale- curry-and-old-man-in-the-Deep-South.Save yourself some disappointment and a potential headache (like the one I’ve got) and go to Sephora – the only retail store that carries Phlur- and smell/sample this stuff BEFORE you buy it.I am going to return this and pray that the “Heavy Cream” scent (also Phlur) that I blind-bought on Amazon and gets here Friday, smells better, and that I receive the other stuff ordered from Phlur directly and that it doesn’t make me shed massive tears of fragrance-regret.

    Perfect!
This is my absolute favorite perfume. I am sensitive to scents and for a long time, i just didn’t wear perfume. My sister was wearing this one day and I instantly fell in love. This is all I wear.

    SMELLS AMAZING!
I don’t often fall in love with perfumes but this one definitely blew my mind! I get so many compliments when I am wearing it. Smells fresh and not strong. For those that love unisex smells you need to try this one!

Probably not ready for prime time.
This product is produced by a relatively small company, so I carefully considered this review and rating. But, keeping in mind that this fragrance product is being sold for near $100 per ounce, it truly falls short of that level of true value for several reasons.1) The fragrance is short-lived when applied to body. It lasts a bit longer when applied to clothing, but I resist doing that because some fragrances stain clothing in ways that isn’t always readily apparent.2) The atomizer is terrible. It infrequently works at all on first several squeezes. Then, it dribbles rather than atomizes, and if — finally — you get an atomized delivery, you’ve wasted what might have been 1-3 applications. This inferior packaging is, in itself, worthy of the rating I’ve given. Finally, the scent is, indeed, refreshingly citrus. But it doesn’t last very long in either sense — either on the body, or from the package since you’ll waste much of it in attempts to get the atomizer to function at all.
