You wouldn’t believe it! the cap was deep scratched!
I recently purchased a water bottle from Amazon and was excited to start using it for my daily hydration needs. However, upon receiving the product, I was disappointed to find that the cap was scratched. While this may seem like a small issue, it can actually lead to bigger problems over time.The scratches on the cap can cause the protective coating to wear off, leaving the metal underneath exposed. This can lead to rusting, which can be harmful to both the bottle and the user. Rust can compromise the integrity of the bottle and potentially contaminate the water inside.As someone who values sustainability and reducing waste, it’s frustrating to have to replace a product due to a manufacturing defect. Not only does this result in additional waste, but it also means spending more money on a new bottle.Overall, I’m very disappointed in the quality of this product and would not recommend it to others. It’s important for companies to ensure the quality of their products before sending them out to consumers, as even small defects can have big consequences.EDIT;After much trial and tribulation, they have reached out to me to send me a free replacement, but it had taken over one month to reach my address using UPS. Have it not taken one month I would have easily been happier.

I should have listened – doesn’t last long
I should have listened to the negative reviews. The charge NEVER lasted more than a day from the get-go. I would charge it and restart it, only for it to die much earlier than it was supposed to and here I sit thinking that it’s being sanitized, only to open it and smell musty water. So I got used to the fact that I had to double-check that it had charge and that it was turned on and keep it charging it whenever I was in the car. It didn’t make me happy that it wasn’t working as promised but I could deal with it.Then today I go to turn it on and it gives me flashing ORANGE. If you look in the manual, that doesn’t even exist. OK, I think, maybe that’s their ‘red’ for out of battery. The manual says to restart by pressing and holding the button for 3 seconds, so I do that and then it flashes…ORANGE…AGAIN! ARGH!!So now I think it really is dead and I have a uselessly overweight water bottle that can’t go in the dishwasher. Well back to my good old Kleen Kanteen water bottles. Not so fancy but much less troublesome. BUY SOMETHING ELSE!—Oh the charging port is annoyingly finicky and the LED color is hard to see.—UPDATE – The company must be paying attention to reviews because it appears they pay people to contact those with negative reviews and offer $ to remove negative reviews. They’ve been emailing me at least once a week. I didn’t respond until today to tell them ‘no thanks’ so we’ll see if the emails stop finally.

Good, but not without flaws
First the pros… The bottle is made from quality materials and does a good job keeping the contents cold. I like that it’s dishwasher safe. I had one hiccup with a weird pulsing orange light ring (which is supposed to indicate the top is unscrewed) but a charging cycle fixed it. Other than that, I charge about once a week and have had no issues with the UV light. There is no noticible difference in the taste of the water with this method of sanitizing and I have every reason to believe the process is working as advertised. I mostly fill this bottle at airports and feel much safer drinking it after it’s been through UV sterilization. It also saves me from buying and disposing of $3-4 plastic water bottles each time I fly.The cons… As others have mentioned, the magnetic charging connector isn’t terribly reliable. The slightest amount of tension in the charging cable is enough to pull the connector off the terminals. Moving the cap or bumping the cable will almost always result in a misalignment that stops charging, so you do have to be careful and monitor the green charging light. Secondly, there is little to no documentation or support available for this device. When I had my issue with the pulsing orange lights the manual was of very little help and I couldn’t find the correct number to call for support. There’s practically no information about this bottle available on the Philips web site. My final issue with this device is the screw-in posts that hold the rubber top strap in place. One of them came lose while in the water bottle pocket of my backpack and fell out. Luckily I heard it hit the ground and was able to later re attach it.Overall, I’m happy with this product and like that it’s saved me money and eliminated waste vs buying plastic water bottles. It’s a smart and easy way to avoid potential illness when traveling.

First of all I got say philips is a trusty brand! Pretty much everything that I brought with this brand never let me down, earbud, shaver and this water bottle! Cool looking and the cap is made of thick aluminum, one of the video says it’s not working, but UV light function worked for me. If poured any liquid other than water, like tea or juice, you still to raise it off. It’s about the same volume compared with plastic bottles, Because it need leave some space for the high tech cap, if there is anything I didn’t like it, I got say the design can be improved, it needs a rubber base, the one that I have right now, it’s kinda slippery, and the round edge can easily knocked down.

La botella de Phillips pretendía ser un producto que nos ofreciera la posibilidad de estar hidratados sin importar el lugar en el que nos encontremos.Esto gracias a su luz UV que purificaba el agua, matando bacterias y virus, yo no lo creía, pero decidí darle la oportunidad al producto.Llevo unos 6 meses con él y no deja de ser uno de los productos que siempre cargo conmigo, compitiendo con mi celular.El agua no tiene mal sabor, no me he enfermado del estómago y su batería es de larga duración.Recomendable.

the cap containing the electronics displayed a red error code within the first day of use. I filled the bottle with room temperature water only and never washed the electronic cap under running water. the UVC light panel area became compromised with water droplets. The uv sterilization will not turn on. charging the bottle does not produce green charging light, only the red error light. essentially an expensive paperweight. I really wanted to like this product.

El precio es alto, en mi caso el paquete de Amazon llegó intacto pero la caja de Philips llegó sin la tapa de arriba, revisé el contenido y todo estaba en orden. La batería dura poquísimo, 5 días de los 30 que menciona, al ser un producto importado el soporte para LATAM es pésimo, su respuesta es que como no se comercializa directamente en LATAM no tienen idea de que problemas tiene el producto; es entendible pero igual deja mucho que desear, podría pedir la devolución o cambio pero prefiero quedarme con la botella con la batería deficiente y evitar que se la vendan a alguien mas como renewed.
