Works very well with Rebel EMP215IC
Love my Rebel welder, but the mig gun and tig torch that came with the unit really doesn’t do it justice. I replaced the tig torch to a CK CK17V-12-RSF FX tig torch and tig welding is so much more comfortable and way better than I ever thought I’d be able to do! The oem Tweco mig gun was no different, it just seemed to bind up inside the cable all the time, and burning tips seemed to be its first priority rather than laying down clean welds. Rather than trying to replace the sleeve or buying another gun, I went with this spool gun. At least now I can burn aluminum too, something the 215 is incapable of unless you use this spool gun.Photo is two passes on thin gauge diamond plate aluminum, very first weld from the spool gun after I set it up. I’m sure I can do better than that once I get more practice on aluminum and not use such thin stuff, but its all I had laying around the shop that I could test AL welding on.

Does not work
I can’t even say I used it once and it broke. I “tested” one time, put it away to complete a mig project. I come back a few months later and the trigger does absolutely nothing. Does not engage the drive wheels at all, no gas, nothing. It’s completely dead. I thought I was buying quality….
