Tl;dr—Buy the set for the paddle brush.I don’t know what it is about this paddle brush but I’m obsessed. I’ve been looking at higher end lines (Olivia Garden, T3, Dyson, Paul Mitchell) because I’ve needed to replace the entire suite of brushes I use daily, but I’ve owned all of them and haven’t had a particular “favorite.” Olivia Garden brushes break down too quickly, Dyson brushes are fair too heavy and show wear… so I gave these a shot not expecting much because of the price point.The paddle brush is the best brushing experience I ever had with my hair. I have a TON of straight-ish, ropey hair that is fine, but there is so much of it… this brush feels like it was designed with my head of hair in mind, and is worth the cost of the entire set alone.Nitpicks: against the paddle brush, the others leave a lot to be desired, and gracious I don’t like the squishy handles **at all.** Understand the idea behind the ergonomics, but hair sticks to them like crazy, and having to pick it out of the material *every day* grosses me out and is inefficient. Was hopeful that the squishy silicone material handles came off, but they don’t.- The vented brush is hard and sucks. Period. Feels like a dollar store brush, and I’ve already moved it to the office as a backup where it won’t be used often. Pass.- The round brush I want to love, but that squishy handle and unsealed top/bottom catch hair while styling. A no-go, in my opinion.- I’ve owned an identical tail comb in the past, this is just a generic bonus, but they are very handy nonetheless.
