Great gym bag that can easily double as an overnight or weekender bag!
I have over a dozen bags from Lovevook, and have come to expect excellent workmanship, materials (whether nylon, pleather, canvas, etc) and hardware, and smart, attractive designs. This gym bag hits all those points! The shape is beautiful, with slightly swooping lines similar to a crescent, and the size is terrific, holding more than I expected. The bag is also very lightweight, using the high quality nylon and heavy duty, plastic hardware. The nylon is easy to care for/clean when necessary, which is always a bonus. The main compartment holds copious quantities, though some space is lost to the swooping lines at the top corners. There are 2 mesh slip pockets on the front wall of the compartment and one large waterproof zip pocket on the back. There’s also a key leash on this wall, which is a feature I wish all bags larger than a clutch offered. One exterior side offers an elastic-cinchable bottle pocket large enough to hold a 40oz insulated bottle plus an umbrella, while the other side offers a shoe pocket with vent. There are also adjustable straps to attach a yoga mat on the front and a luggage strap on the back. The handles are comfortable to use by hand or crook of the arm, and even over the shoulder even the bag isn’t stuffed. The optional, adjustable shoulder strap is well padded and the length is easy to adjust. As much as I like the bag (and I do!), I have a couple of fairly minor issues with it. First, and maybe most importantly, there isn’t a quickly accessible, secure spot to stash a phone. I would’ve liked to see a zip pocket large enough to easily accommodate a large phone in a case somewhere on the exterior, but ideally the back. Second, the excess webbing for the adjustable shoulder strap just hangs & flaps around due to the design (the padded shoulder section is fully removable, but the 2 adjustable webbing sections on either side are sewn into the top corners of the bag), and I’m not clear on the thinking that went into the design choice. If there’s another optional purpose for them, or if there’s a way to conceal them, I haven’t figured it out. Finally, I’d prefer a double zip on the main compartment. Again, they’re small complaints and won’t stop me from using this as a gym bag or even as an overnight/weekender bag. It’s a great value for the quality of the workmanship and materials, and I’d recommend to anyone looking for something with a little more personality than the typical square/rectangular gym bag.

Not to functional.
I bought this for the gym and travel needs. The strap on the outside for my suitcase handle. The perfect size bag for both. I just wish there was an outside pocket for your phone or keys, or a double zipper. You have to unzip the bag to retrieve them. There is an outside pocket that has an all around zipper, similar to a diaper bag for baby wipes that may be intended for keys or a phone. This too isn’t too functional. I tried using the shoe compartment but it made it difficult to pack your clothes, your shoes were kind of in the way. I understand the thought process, but I think if the shoe compartment was design for each shoe to be placed on the outside of the bag then you’ll have more space in the middle to pack things. And I’m not sure if I will have the same amount of space for heavier clothing when the season changes. For the price, I’ll keep until I find something else. Then donate.
