I have never felt more validated in my life!
I have had different versions of Fitbit for years. I was looking for a replacement with long battery life and came across this. 11 day battery life had me sold! It’s more like 8 for me but I’m sure that’s meant to be variable based on what all is turned on.The body battery is my favorite feature! I’ve been telling people I have no energy for years. Now when I wake up after 8-9 hours of sleep and my body battery is at 31 (range is 5-100) I have validation that I seriously have no energy!!! Since I got this (a little over a month ago) I have been actively listening to its advice and trying to improve my energy. Sadly, most days I’m still at around 30. I’ve had a few days in the 40s and once I got to 60.I also like that Garmin has tons of monthly challenges and badges to keep me engaged. Fitbit badges maxed out so there was nothing to strive towards. I also love that the app has hundreds of workouts and you can send them to your watch. So awesome. Finally a note on the band. I have always found the rubberized bands of Fitbit to be itchy and I had to replace them with leather bands but this band is completely comfortable and itch free.I liked mine so much that my husband and son immediately bought one too.

Simply perfect
Few days in: Absolutely love this watch. It is so simple yet but so useful. The weight of watch is very light compared to apple. I am a nurse who works long shifts. I love the battery life on the watch one of many reasons I made the switch from apple. It does exactly what I need without all the extra. I can still receive texts just can not reply on the watch itself. I can track steps/workouts with ease.

Fantastic Smart Watch
I was turned on to the idea of a smart watch by a relative who recommended a Garmin. Other than going kooky dooks on me once and I had to change the band as it was slightly small. I cannot praise this watch enough. Fantastic display (love that you can make your own faces.) It is helping me with fitness goals. I walk a lot more with this watch and am entertained by the maps that it comes up with after a walk is over. It’s so cool using it for sleep quality monitoring. All and all I am so happy with this watch and would recommend it to others. Five stars all around!

The best tracker I have ever used!
love, love, love! I wore a Fitbit™ for about 5 years but after about 2 years each time the functions would cease to work, and then they took the desktop app off, not to mention that you have to buy at a high cost, the premium app in order to get the functions that the Garmin gives you. I love that the Garmin tracks your sleep so much better and accounts for the fact that sometimes you have to get up to use the bathroom at night, without logging you out of sleep–a huge improvement over the fitbit. I also love the gps function for walking and biking. Thirdly, it’s waterproof, so you can use it while swimming. The only thing I would love to see is a function for logging glucose, which the fitbit has.

So far, worth the money
Overall love this watch so far. I’ve owned it for 4-5 months at this point abd haven’t had any real issues.I used a Samsung galaxy 4 watch before this and it was a crap show in comparison. The battery life is amazing. I’ve never had any trouble with the GPS finding and keeping a signal. The heart rate feels accurate. And you can add mp3s directly to the watch and pair your earbuds if you want. The only issues I have are minor, but sometimes the watch acts odd. Like turning itself on without being prompted. The display setting has changed itself to always on and I have to change it back manually. And sometimes the background changes itself and cannot immediately be changed back to the one you prefer. Also, when running on a treadmill the distance is off and I feel like the calories are too. But you can calibrate the distance after your work out. So that’s a positive. If it wasn’t for these strange occurrence id have given it a 5 star. But generally speaking im happy with this devices performance. Im hoping this watch works for years to come like most reviews I’ve read say they do.I’ve owned 2 galaxy watches before this. Both needed to be serviced at some point. And both were completely unusable after a year which is why I made the switch.

I replaced my Apple watch and never went back
I had an Apple iWatch for 5 years that I needed to replace. I didn’t realize it hadn’t received any updates for 2-3 years because Apple was no longer supporting the model I had. it didn’t bother me because it did what I wanted.Prosbattery only needs to be charge once every several days – iWatch needs to be charge every dayEasier to navigate. It automatically shows the most recent and used optionsSmart watches are balanced to be more for fitness tracking or for Smart Watch apps. This is more of a fitness tracker which I prefer.Round and thinner design fits my wrist bettercan be used with an Android or iPhoneThis model has an Oxygen sensorThe watch is easier to read because it doesn’t have as much clutterConsSmart watches are balanced to be more for fitness tracking or for Smart Watch apps. This is more of a fitness tracker. You may not like this.It will show the distance and map of a hike but not the elevation. It doesn’t have a barometer. This is my biggest downsize. Other Garmin models may have this feature.Overall I like the watch and haven’t considered returning to Apple.

Works for pickleball
Nothing super fancy. I wanted something to replace my old Fitbit for pickleball and this is surprisingly better than expected. Has both indoor and outdoor pickleball options. Outdoor will follow movement via GPS.

Nice activity tracker
Overall, I’m pleased with my Garmin Vívoactive 5. It tracks my steps well, and has plenty of nice metrics . So far it has been durable enough to meet my needs. One of the most important features for me was tracking my laps while swimming and I really enjoy keeping up my lap time. I am disappointed that it can’t track the number of floors climbed. Several other devices, both Garmin and Apple tracked floors climbed and I did not realize that the Vívoactive did not track floors.
