Great Watch
Sleek look and feels comfortable. It handles all my basic notifications and step tracking with ease. Battery lasts a full 5 days, which is amazing. It doesn’t have a huge app store, but for a budget watch that keeps me connected, it’s perfect.

Excellent Smartwatch – Stylish & Functional!
I’m absolutely thrilled with this smartwatch! It looks elegant with the gold finish and feels lightweight and comfortable on the wrist. The display is clear and vibrant, and I love how easy it is to navigate the features. The fitness tracking functions are very accurate—step counter, calorie tracker, and heart rate monitor all work great. It also syncs quickly with my phone and lets me receive calls and notifications directly on the watch. The IP68 waterproof rating gives me peace of mind when wearing it during workouts or in the rain.Battery life is impressive too—I can go several days without needing a charge. It came with two strap options, which is a really nice bonus for different looks.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a stylish and reliable fitness smartwatch at a great price!

Do not buy
This is a terrible product. They offer no support. I emailed the company, and they never responded. I tried for a long time to set up the watch. Next, I took the watch to a computer store, and they were unsuccessful in setting the watch up. It would not connect to the phone. Do not buy this watch.

A Value Proposition
The first thing I noticed out of the box about the paybay Smart Watch Fitness Tracker (1.57″ TFT, 200*320 resolution, per its box) was the watch case’s finish: a glossy black where I was expecting a dull/flat plastic. Then I noticed that the glossy black was much colder to the touch than was the watch’s plastic bottom surface. This watch must have a Metal case, apparently with a lacquered (or lacquer-like) finish. Pretty fancy for a watch at this price point, I think.I finally found an old charger/adapter in my drawer of old smart phone chargers that conformed to the instructions’ requirements (5V and not more than 1A current) so that I could start my experience with my new smart watch. (I suspect that any 5V USB smart phone charger would have sufficed, but I’m not an engineer or electrician, and I like to follow directions in case they were drafted by an engineer or an electrician. The next small challenge was creating an account for the watch’s Android app (Zmoofit). Easier said than done because the Zmoofit app kept rejecting my password choices with the frustratingly incomplete error message that my password needed to be 6-16 letters… (or something equally incomplete). Finally I tried a password with No Symbols, only Letters (upper and lower case) and Numbers, and 6-16 characters long. That worked. (Arg!)Before I had installed the watch’s app on my Android phone, I noticed that I didn’t need the app to set its time. This contrasted with my limited experience with prior smart watches. I liked that.Once the Zmoofit app was installed and I tried to link the watch to the phone/app, I could see that something wasn’t working. So I went to the Zmoofit’s app setting on my phone, gave the app (or made sure it already had) permissions for Call logs, Contacts, Location, Nearby devices, Phone, and SMS. (There were other permissions I could have enabled, but I knew I wouldn’t be using my watch for those). Then, as I recall, the app showed a stronger signal so that I was able to link it. At some point, the phone’s Bluetooth options appeared, and I gave it all the Call and Contact access permissions, as I did want the watch to be phone capable. After importing through the app all of the contacts I wanted stored in the watch, I tried calling a contact by tapping on it in the watch’s screen. While that did Not work (timed out?), dialing a contact’s phone number from the watch’s phone keypad Did work. (Eventually, I had to abandon the watch’s phone feature because of a compatibility with another Bluetooth device that my phone connects to.)A comment about the selection of watch faces available through the app: They are too numerous to count, appealing, I suppose, mainly to watch wearers far more creative in their tastes than I am. Having said that, I can say that I did finally find a few that did appeal to my staid sensibilities, at no extra charge.I’m sorry to have to report that I’m finding the watch’s step counter Unreliable. In carefully testing it, I’m seeing Missed (Uncounted) steps, and quite a few at that. It doesn’t happen all of the time, but quite often. So the step counts appear to be undercounts. (I’ve observed over-counts, too, but far less often.)At this point, I’ve worn the watch to bed twice. The sleep reports appear to be accurate. The time-keeping is accurate. However, it did not auto-adjust the hour for the November 2 “Fall back” for the ending of Daylight Saving Time. The time did synchronize with the phone’s time when I opened the Zmoofit app on my phone. Alternatively, I could have manually adjusted the time on the watch, as mentioned earlier. The blood-oxyen app reported a level of “97%”, which seems reasonable, though I can’t attest to its accuracy.I tested the watch’s alarm by setting a time and day of week, and that worked perfectly by alerting me with both vibration and sound.I configured the watch’s settings without battery-draining heart monitoring, phone notifications, bluetooth calling or audio turned on, and set the brightness at about 25% with Display time set for 5 seconds. I wore it once when sleeping during the first 3 and a half days of use, during which period the battery drained from 83% to 4%. However, my use was uneven during this period (I was experimenting a lot with the settings) and shouldn’t be typical of its use. Add to that, this was done after only the first charging. I’d expect the battery to normally drain at the rate of about 20% per day with those non-demanding settings in effect.Obviously, this sports/smart watch falls short in its performance in step counting and calling contacts from the contacts list, but is otherwise acceptable, especially at its remarkable price of $10, making it a compelling value proposition. But with its shortcomings, the best I can rate it is 4 stars out of 5.
