Fits 2014 BMW 740 LI also a 2012 BMW x5m
I originally purchased this item for my 2012 BMW x5m and they worked great. I was surprised to find out that they also fit a 2014 BMW 740 LI. These two turbo vehicles, although different engines, share some of the same symptoms, misfires, intermittent errors and these coils along with the same spark plugs, fixed these, very Easy to intall. I would definitely recommend and they’re a great value for the money.

I bought these as preventative maintenance / possible minor performance upgrade for an N55 engine which has had DinanTronics Elite Stage 1 or 2 and their CAI product since new for ~8 years / ~75k km. My car pulled cleanly from low rpm and had no running issues (exhaust pipes barely even get dirty), but these are not expensive so I decided to give this newer offering from Dinan a try.I had previously done a hydrogen-based carbon cleaning (CarbonTek) which produced a noticeable improvement in effortlessness of response and fuel efficiency, so I figured these would be icing on the cake while not really expecting anything to improve. To my surprise, these coils (vs the original Delphi set) did produce a noticeable bump in top end power despite the car already running in what I thought was an optimal state. For their very reasonable price point and easy installation, I would recommend anyone with generic-type stock coils and performance mods to try these to maximize the benefits of your efforts. I’ve modded a half dozen cars with Dinan products, and my experiences have been mostly impeccable in 15+ years. The marketplace seller providing these was also excellent, automatically providing free shipping with a quantity purchase and all of the coils were brand new & sealed.UPDATE:I bought a second set for an N20 28i engine in an X3, similar great experience with the seller and the power improvement was even more noticeable than with the N55 in the 335i. The X3 had slightly more km at ~85k, which may explain the difference, although I did install new spark plugs at the same time whereas the 335i had plugs with < 20k km on them. Regardless, this is an excellent product and highly recommend as preventative maintenance for engines with 70k km or more.A friend also installed them into his higher mileage X3 28i, and saw a dramatic improvement in low end torque. This parallels my experience with how worn stock coils affect drivability on newer gen Valvetronic BMW engines, causing lag at low rpm prior to eventually degrading into misfires.
