A Good Beginning Tool – even for those of us who are not talented
I have zero skills when it comes to my hair and this particular product is well made and it’s designed to pretty much be fool proof. There is a brief how to that it really is helpful to read – I know we’re all tempted to skip that step. And the videos on the site I found helpful. This heats up quickly and has multiple heat level settings – and the instructions advise which level for which hair type. The curls do hold and if you use the recommended heat protection spray it seems to not burn your hair and will maintain the shine. The color is nice but I get it the design and functionality is more important than appearance of the unit itself. This particular unit is priced competitively and I find it to be worth the price point.

this crimper is amazing. curling irons dont work on my hair so I had given up in the beach waves look years ago. my grand daughter has this and I love the way her hair looks when she uses it so I decided to try it. I’m so glad I did..its super easy to use, it really crimps your hair and the waves stay in. one thing I’ve had issues with in the past is curling/crimping my hair with layers. this works perfectly on the layers.

I love this hair tool! It works wonderful on my short length bob. You can change the temperature depending on your hair. So far the quality has been great and there is a timer you can set so you don’t leave it on your hair too long. I get so many compliments. Worth the money and great design.

Pro’s, Con’s, and Everything Inbetween
I never leave product reviews.. so it’s saying something when I felt the absolute need to leave one for this crimper!! I have naturally wavy hair but since I run my hands through it during the day, it leaves my waves flat. I bought this in hopes of touching up my waves so that I wouldn’t have to wet and recrunch it every morning! THIS CRIMPER IS AMAZING!! I don’t get the smell everyone is talking about. I think they are just burning their hair and blaming the crimper.I use mine at 280° (lowest) for 8 seconds and it does the job! If I do 300° I do it for 6 seconds. I have long thick hair so it takes me about an hour to do (sectioned and small pieces).The pictures:-In the bathroom, I crimped my hair Sunday night, and this was my hair Monday afternoon.-In my bedroom, these were taken Wednesday night (3 days later)! Waves still in tact and gorgeous! I only touched up my top layers because I run my hands through them which ultimately flattens the waves. It is now Thursday and the waves are still gorgeous. I’ll wash my hair Friday just because my hair is getting greasy from product.Pro’s:1. Heats up quickly2. Can set timer to beep after 6, 8, 10 seconds3. Super easy to use (I got the hang of if after my first use, which was like 30 minutes of practice)4. Waves last all day & overnight5. Super easy to touch up flat waves if they’ve straightened out over nightCons:1. It turns off after a certain amount of time, even if I’m still using it. Not a big deal, just kind of annoying.2. I still haven’t mastered how to prevent the crease from the first crimp closest to my roots, but thankfully after 30 or so minutes, the crease disappears so it’s not that big of a deal!

Wanted this to work so badly…. :/ good quality but my hair just didn’t agree
I wanted this to work so badly and to be my “go to” iron. I have thin, fine hair and it definitely gave it some body, but not in a pretty way. I didn’t get those luxurious looking, defined waves like they show in the picture. I ended up looking like Troy Polamalu with a frizzed mess of crimped hair. I found that the larger paddle was a bit tricky to work with, but appreciated the silicone no-burn grip to get a good clamp on your hair. The beep is nice to signal when it’s done….when it works. I unfortunately had a few times where it didn’t work and ended up scalding my hair. The placement of the buttons is nice so that you can’t inadvertently shut it off or change the temperature. As a comparison I tried the con air triple waver and this one is definitely MUCH better quality. Nice packaging, good presentation, nice digital temp readout. Just didn’t work for me.

High quality and fun to use even for extreme beginners
It was a hard choice between the bed head brand and this one. Since I bought it mainly for my daughter, I chose this one since it had a lot more protection from burning yourself. Boy was I pleased with my purchase! I’ve seen this brand all over Facebook but thought it was probably a scam and didn’t work well like it showed but I was wrong. This waver was worth every single penny. My daughter has pin straight hair and she’s jealous of my natural beach waves. I can’t use a curling wand to save my life so I never could give her good curls. This thing is so easy to use. You just set the temp, set a timer, and go to work in sections of the hair. It beeps to let you know when to move down. It’s very high quality. All my heat tools are bought from actual salons and I will say the TYMO waver is the same, if not better, quality of my stuff! I love that you can see the heat temp go up as it’s heating too. I mean this is geared towards very beginners and experts so you can’t go wrong. It also auto turns off if you aren’t using it for more than several minutes as a safety feature. I can also set this in my counters and it does not leave it super hot just warm.

Way better than I anticipated. You can get a natural look at 160ºC, with a 4 second timer, that lasts for a good while. I did my hair before going to sleep and only touched up a few strands in a morning (less than 5 minutes), it still looked super cute by the end of the day. There’s a small learning curve, but on the first try I already loved the results. Couldn’t recommend this more.If you’re split between the waver and the automatic curler, this one gives more volume, while the curler does very tight curls. I have both and definitely prefer the wave look.

I’m super impressed with this beach wave curler! It arrived safely, well-packaged with zero damage. I went with the 1.25 inch option, which is pretty big—great for longer hair like mine, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for shorter styles just because of how wide the barrel is.What blew me away is how wicked fast it heats up—seriously, it hits full temperature in under 2 minutes, which is the fastest I’ve ever seen with any curler. It’s really easy to turn on and operate, though the technique takes a little getting used to. With a bit of practice, though, the results are amazing.Now I’m really curious to try the 1 inch version—seems like it would be perfect for travel, and maybe even a better fit for shorter hair. Overall, this is a high-quality tool that delivers beautiful, effortless waves. Definitely recommend!
