This review is for a portable massage machine, sold as Amazon ASIN B0DS5SKH97, by seller PERLEVI.This is a weird device. I had high hopes for it because of the pictures showing a neck massage.The manual is written in reasonably clear English; the figures are very stylistic and do not realistically depict the product or the uses.It is very heavy. It is very hard to use it on my neck and shoulders because it tends to twist/tumble down my back. The straps that go under the arms and to the back are hard to fasten and hard to adjust. It works better when it is lose and flat on a surface, such as for a calf massage.It has no mechanical adjustments or sizing to speak of. There are two geared fingers that move up and down only, and they are a fixed spacing apart. There are also two more geared thumbs that move in a sort of figure-8 pattern, but their bases are also a fixed spacing apart. Both movements repeat in a cycle that lasts a couple of seconds. The fixed spacing is a problem because I can’t get it far enough onto my neck as in the pictures to get a neck massage; I have a big neck.I was able to prop it up on a pillow behind me in a chair to get a shoulder massage, but this required constantly adjusting and holding the straps to place the fingers/thumbs.The device controls are on a small panel on one of the straps close to the mechanism. When used on the neck or back, these controls are thus behind you and hard to adjust. The buttons all feel the same so you can’t use the sense of touch to tell which is which, and there is no audible feedback (beep) that tells you that you’ve pressed any button.It has a heating mode and it defaults to being on every time (showing red LED) you turn on the massager. I didn’t notice a heating effect, but I did notice that the batteries don’t last as long when the heat is on. To turn the heating off, you need to press and hold the heat button until the LED goes green. The manual picture implies the heating is only on the two fingers.It has a slow and fast speed that is toggled with a button. There is also a button for regular vs. deep massage, and the only difference between the two seems to be that regular pauses momentarily at various points in the cycle.The geared mechanism moving the fingers and thumbs appears sturdy, as I tried resisting them with reasonable force yet they were able to continue moving. There does not appear to be a safety clutch. If I resisted the motion firmly enough to halt the cycle, the motor would stall, reverse, and then try again. It can apply a lot of force before the motor stalls.It will cycle for a set period of time and then automatically turn off. When turning back on, it doesn’t remember the previous settings and has to be reconfigured.It doesn’t seem designed for use with any type of oil or lotion. The mechanism is covered by a cloth cover that rapidly picks up natural skin oils. It does unzip, presumably for cleaning, but I couldn’t find any instructions to tell if it is machine washable.I was very disappointed that I couldn’t use it as a neck massager as shown in the pictures because it couldn’t be adjusted. It does seem to work okay for flat parts of my body.I think this product might be suitable for people of smaller builds. I can only tentatively recommend it, with the concern that there’s no way to know if it fits your body until you have it.

Smooth motions and hits the right spots that i need. Pretty intuitive and easy to use only has a few buttons for all the settings you need. Battery lasts for a long time. I use it while working from home sitting on a computer chair or while watching my shows. Works really well and relieves the pain. Hot and cold options a huge plus!

This neck massager is decent. I don’t love when you have to pull down for more pressure because it can feel like strain and tension in the arms. It isn’t a super comfortable set up to use but it is good quality and heavy duty.

Nice personal neck massager
Easy to get going and use. Provided a nice massage with warmth. The handles allow me to apply more pressure if needed, and I can let it rest on my neck and do its thing if I rest back on my chair.

Very aggressive but good massage
Taking this shoulder massager out of the box made me form an initial opinion that I would not like it at all. It felt very heavy and awkward as I tried to place it on my neck/shoulder area. There are straps as shown in the pictures that go over the shoulder area and also, one that fastens in the back area. I had a great amount of difficulty with the back fastener because it was very hard to connect blindly. Once I figured it out and located the control that is on one of the shoulder straps, I was surprised at how good the massage felt.Instructions for use are not adequate. Safety warnings take up 1 page of the 6 page instruction booklet with 1 page dedicated to a welcome to the product, 1 page with pictures of various placement options and less than 2 pages showing correct use info. Not much info on charging the device with the included charging cable. When I charged I found that a red light illuminated on the control panel that stayed on until the device was fully charged and then turned green. Charging took about 4 hours. There are only 2 massage speeds, low and high. High speed is very intense but comfortable for me. Heat is either on or off and is also intense but comfortable when on. Massage and heat are on for 10 minutes with no control for change.The weight and design of the device is very awkward to place but the massage provided once placement is achieved is worth the fussing it took for me to place it properly. The instructions show pictures of usage on other body locations besides the neck and shoulders. I only tried it on the neck and shoulder area.Cost is somewhat high in comparison to other massagers with similar controlled options. Appears to be well made in regards to what can be seen on the device.
