    Support is the best!
My husband broke his ankle and after weeks with a hard boot he was instructed to wear a corset boot. Unable to find in our area I searched Amazon. Reading the reviews confirmed that this was what he needed. He sleeps in it comfortably and it washes well. Hand wash and air dry. The support and price is perfect. Thank you for always having reliable service and prices We can always depend on.

great for my posterior tibial tendon problems
I have partial posterior tibial tendon collapse (flat foot) on my left side and have a large ankle and calf, and regular braces don’t fit properly, and “plus size” braces I found at a medical equipment store were clearly made for bigger people. This strap is the first thing I’ve found that gives me some support throughout the day and I love it. It’s a long strap with velcro on one end, and you can wrap it around your bottom foot, then ankle, then again around the foot or higher on the ankle, your choice.I injured my left foot and ankle about 3 1/2 years ago and that lead to my posterior tibial tendon partially collapsing, plus some arthritis and rheumatoid nodules. Had physical therapy but it was suboptimal, as the only clinic in town focuses on sports medicine and the college athletes rather than everyday people. In the course of my therapy I was told that braces would not help. Earlier this year when I still couldn’t walk much despite doing the exercises I was taught, I decided to investigate how to improve my PTTD, and the first thing I saw was that a well-known protocol said the first step was to wear a brace. As mentioned, I couldn’t find a decent brace that fit right, but this strap (branded as a brace) was exactly what I needed. I can wrap it twice around the bottom of the foot to give me a little arch support, or twice around the ankle for tendon support. Currently I’m using an arch support pillow attached to my foot, with this strap around it holding it in place. The pain is much better, and with less stress on the tendon during the day, my physical therapy exercises seem to be doing more good than they were before. One thing that is kind of weird about the strap is there is a rubber traction side, but you can’t wrap with that side on the outside because the velcro tab at the end doesn’t face the right way. You could maybe tuck it underneath a strap to get some hold but I haven’t been able to get that to work yet. Not sure why the rubber traction is on the “skin side” but it is.Also, this thing will rip up your socks and shoes eventually, it’s pretty tough. I like wearing it on the foot with a sock over it, and that seems to be gentler on the sock than wearing it over a sock.It washes well, I use Woolite for darks in a sink and let it soak, then let it drip over a sink for a while, then hang it up and let it finish drying, which it does overnight. No dryer and I wouldn’t put it in a washing machine either, but washing it really quick in the sink is easy enough.Definitely recommend this, especially if you’ve got large ankles or calves and have been having trouble finding something that will fit.

    gets the job done
excellent tool, easy to use, perhaps a little too short

    Amazing for hEDS/connective tissue disorder
Ease of use: (looks complicated, but isn’t): 5/5Support/stability: 5/5Compression (custom): 5/5I’ve tried basically all types of braces at this point with Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. I used to “live” in braces and compression socks (also have PoTS), but physical therapy and every-6-weeks shockwave therapy treatments have given me so much more time back on my feet and general, overall mobility. But, I also live in an incline-rich, hilly area that discourages vehicle drivers, so I find myself still injuring easily.I have chronic posterior tibial tendinitis, Achilles tendonitis, and (much better controlled because of the shockwave therapy treatments at my podiatrist’s office) plantar fasciitis. As someone in the hEDS community stated, “it’s like our bodies are held together with chewing gum.” Injury is easy to do and frequent. With all that context and background, this is the best brace I’ve tried. When wrapped well, it offers better stability and support than the metal-arm (PAINFUL!) braces I’ve used, and the customizable compression is perfection. It doesn’t slide even over an ankle-high sock (sensitive skin, too, but this hasn’t bother mine where it’s made contact), and it’s priced competitively well (at my times of purchase) for such a quality product.I’m grateful. And so confident in the superior aid this has offered me that I just donated all my other braces today!Overall: 5/5

  5. Amazon Customer

I’m apparently not the right customer for this ankle brace.
I thought it would be a good idea to get a wraparound support for my ankle, but I had some problems. First of all, I couldn’t seem to get it wrapped around correctly. The surfaces wouldn’t adhere because I wrapped it in the wrong direction, I guess, over and over again. I gave up using it until the 3rd try when I finally got it wrapped in a way that adhered and seemed okay. After putting my socks and shoes over it, I soon began to feel scratchiness on the inside of the wrap, so maybe I didn’t have the correct surface against my leg. Also, I couldn’t tell if it was supporting my ankle or not. It was irritating me so much, I couldn’t wear it longer than half an hour, and I don’t think it was overly tight. When I took the wrap off, my spider veins seemed bigger and brighter, which hopefully is temporary. I’m elderly and I guess everything on my foot and lower leg is too sensitive for this type of brace, or else I never did get it wrapped right. It’s harder than it looks. A video might have helped. I returned it and my refund was immediate. No problems with the seller or the shipping, or the customer service.

Not just for sprains -I have ended up gifting a few of these
I have swollen feet and legs. So I got 2 for myself as a possible change out for nighttime compression socks. They turned out to be VERY effective and comfortable. Then a friend with a weak ankle got one for support and it helped a lot and lately another gifted to support a friend with plantar facia that they cannot have surgically repaired right now. Was helpful. they wash well, keep their stretch and wear well.Update-These remain so helpful OVER the foot and ankle OVER my compression socks. I have venous insufficiency and after so many years the foot around the heel and the middle of the foot have become fluid wells. The wrap over a sock is very comfortable and helps add a bit of compression to the problem area.

  9. Bradley Lane

Have been using this brace for a couple of months now to help with Achilles tendonitis. I have found it to be very good quality and most importantly has given my ankle the extra support it needed.

  10. Ambrose

Convenient and works well for my ankle sprain, but comes with no instructions. Would be great if it comes with instructions

  11. Brenda Lee

This is a good ankle support .. I have week ankles and if I am in pain I will wear this and it helps.

  12. Amazon Customer

2pk ankle bandage brace, feels sturdy and supportive – would recommend for those recovering from injury. 1 star deducted due to lack of instructional video.

ComfiLife Ankle Brace is a soft, flexible, elastic wrap. It is not hard to wrap but as the majority have said it comes with no instructions. The heel goes in the loop, on the amazon site there are several instruction pages, one with arrows showing direction to wrap and one showing a foot wrapped. You set the tension and focus on the area of your foot (ankle) that needs the most attention. (You might have to play with it a few times.) I had a grade three ankle tear took 6 weeks in and out of a boot and then I went to a ComfiLife Ankle Brace. Fits in a couple of relaxed shoes I have no problem and I used it for, dog walking, hikes and dance class. I bought two right away, one for wearing and one for washing. Very Happy!
