Great ring, great seller
Said to be the closes to the original design, but hey could have put some cushioning on the inside of the pads. These are rough for any exercise that uses it around the ankles or wrists. The resistance is stiff, but even lighter framed ans shorter students like the action. The construction is very basic. Mine is used in a studio as well as personally, and people with tighter or wider shoulders really appreciate the extra 2 inches in diameter over all the other commercially produced circles. I mean all of them- this was the only one I could find that was not 14″ or less in diameter. Pilates equipment manufacturing seems to be the wild west- there isn’t a lot of standardization and what is called ‘approved’ or ‘authentic’ seems to beg definition. Balance Body is a very conscientious seller, they followed up after a wrong item was sent and were easy to contact and get answers from. I would definitely but from them again

True to Joe’s Design!
I wanted a magic circle, but I wasn’t sure which one to buy…So I ended up buying three; this one, the “modern” take on this one also from BB, and a third one (I forget that mfg – was it Merrill?? something with an M, and something that was more light weight). Anyway, this is the one I go to every time I use the magic circle. There is just something about the fit, the balance, and the cushioning that has made this my favorite. I also love that it follows Joe Pilates’ original design – an added bonus since I practice Classical Pilates. I’m so happy BB makes this! Many of their designs are “modernized” and not to my liking, but they are the only company I have found that offers a magic circle to the original specs.

Totally different to the pilates magic circles sold
This circle really uses the original pilates design. It has different resistances and makes the exercises more challenging helping you to progress in your pilates practice. The circle also gives you feedback, as KRN says, it will flip if not positioned correctly. Absolute must!

Balanced body is our go-to magic circle in the Pilates studio as well as what we recommend for at home long-term use. Other plastic rings can wear out, this one will last.

I am a certified classical Pilates instructor. These are great and are just what Joe would have used. So much better than anything else in the Pilates market as far as magic circles go. Very durable. You could order the ones with less bands for less resistance. 4 bands is considered standard.Great product if you are looking for something authentic in style.
